Not sure what to do when your child is unwell?

Prepare for winter with HANDiApp

Now the new school term is underway and winter approaches, make sure you have downloaded the free paediatric HANDiApp for expert advice on the most common childhood conditions.

The app is available from the Apple Store and Google Play, and can also be downloaded as a desktop version with the same information.

HANDiApp contains expert information compiled by paediatric consultants at The Royal United Hospitals (RUH) Bath NHS Foundation Trust about the most common childhood illnesses; diarrhoea and vomiting, high temperature, chestiness, newborn problems and stomach pain.

The app takes users through a set of questions about a child’s symptoms, offering advice according to their severity. If appropriate, the user is told to seek medical assistance immediately, and for less severe conditions, there are links to home care plans.
