Children and Young People's Review
To gain the Healthy Schools Certificate, it is important to involve children and young people in a meaningful way. The Review asks children and young people attending the school to submit a piece entitled:
‘How we made our school healthier’.
The Review can be in the form of writing, drawings, photo-story, film or audio. It should be no longer than 750 words (approximately two sides of A4) or 2 minutes. Some examples of Reviews submitted by successful schools can be found here.
When you submit your Biennial Audit on-line, you will receive an e-mail from the Director of Public Health Award team prompting you to also submit your Children and Young People's Review.
Both elements will then be reviewed by the Award Group to confirm that you have achieved the Healthy Schools Certificate.
Guidance on how to complete the Children and Young People’s Review can be found in the 'How to achieve the Healthy Schools certificate' guide.
